Summary: Pick locations, pick zones, LPN buffer and sorting area add extra functionality and possibilities to the picking process. In this course these four concepts are explained and where they could be implemented to raise picking efficiency. In order to keep the level of stock up to date in these locations, there will be a need for replenishments towards pick locations, pick zones and LPN buffer. There are two types of pick locations: general or kanban pick locations. For more efficient delivery of goods to the pick location and pick zones it is possible to use grouped replenishments. In case of a large amount of sku pickings, it is possible to work with a sorting area where goods are brought to in larger quantites and then sorted out per order. Batch pick and sort orders will manage the work in the sorting area.
