Summary: An Advanced Shipping Note (ASN) is an interface that gives a notification of pending deliveries that enables the sender to describe the content of a shipment (expected receipts) before goods are physically delivered. A Purchase order is a contract between a warehouse and its supplier which may represent "multiple receipts" for a warehouse.
